JRRossJan 8, 2012 11:45 PM Hi Linda yes I do believe God is in control always has been always will be, our free will is for His purpose in our lives, doesn't mean He has turned loose for the universe would discenergrate into nothing. I have often proposed the concept of double predestination based on my own experience of how God has worked in my life. One path is the perfect path God has for us walking in His perfect will. The other is the path our sin has caused that path to wander or meander in other ways that has negated His Will. Its ususally sin that takes us down the wrong path. However our sin is no surprise to Him and He has a plan to deal with it for our good, ie "All things work together for good" doesn't mean all things are good and sin is our free will, our rebellion at work. God is good, He is not the author of our sin He is without sin and He causes no one to sin, It is not in His nature. However in His design of creation He has given us choices to make and these choices have affected the path of our life. Were God not in control Jesus Christ would never have fulfilled the prophetic voices of the Old Testament everything came into being. Christ was born in the fullness of time at the exact moment that split the universe into BC and AD. Add to our freewill the freewill of satan and his demons and how they affect us spiritual and demonic possession, also affect our outcomes. However satan's power was diminished by the Victory of the Cross and Father gave all authority in Heaven and on Earth to His Son our Lord Jesus Christ. His ways are above our ways and His thoughts above our thoughts, as far as the Heavens are from the earth, who can fathom such.
My thought, "I thought that I was seeking God but I found that He was seeking me, seeking Him." I thank God that He saved me I give Him all Glory for everything good in my life, I take responsibility for my sin and the pain it has caused, I place no responsiblity for it on Him, I thank Him for His gift of free will for without it I would never have been saved, and I thank Him that He chose me before the foundations of the earth to be His Child, Glory to God our Father and His Son the LORD Jesus Christ and the Blessed Holy Spirit who empowers us to live our life for our LORD. God bless
